MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The number, intensity and sophistication of computer attacks on Russia’s critical information infrastructure are growing every year, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said at the 20th session of the meeting of heads of security and intelligence agencies of CIS countries.
He stated that the subversive activities of foreign security services and criminal hacker groups in cyberspace pose a global threat. “Each year, we witness a rise in the number, intensity, and sophistication of cyberattacks targeting critical information infrastructure, aiming to disable it or access classified information. Advanced digital solutions are increasingly employed in their planning and execution,” he said.
Bortnikov highlighted the active use of artificial intelligence technologies in developing and implementing targeted psychological measures. He noted that the illegal trafficking of personal data has reached unprecedented levels, posing risks for citizens to be drawn into terrorist, extremist, and other illegal activities or to fall victim to fraud schemes.
